Palmer Lakeside Golf Course
at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa
Austin, USA
Palmer Lakeside Course overview
Designed by Arnold Palmer in 1986 and bought by Barton Creek in 1989, the Palmer Lakeside Course is a fantastic layout situated 25 miles west of the main resort. Sitting on a secluded hillside and overlooking Lake Travis, the course measures just over 6400 yards from the tips with six sets of tees.
Palmer Lakeside provides every level golfer an opportunity to play. This layout is relatively flat for the most-part (although there also are some great elevation changes encountered) with tree-lined fairways and features well-placed water hazards throughout.
A gorgeous property, Palmer Lakeside is well worth the drive from Omni Barton Creek Resort and many spend the day at the club playing 27 or 36 holes.
Signature Holes
The signature hole at Palmer Lakeside is the par-3 11th. Measuring 201 yards from the back tees, this one-shot hole requires a well-struck tee shot over a large pond to a green that is protected by six deep pot bunkers. A beautiful waterfall sits behind the hole providing a picturesque backdrop.
